Does it really matter at this point? We've been getting these thing's going for close to a year. It give's us a good amount of time to really lock down a better place in Visalia.

i say for aug. lets do fresno ...so visalia can lock down a spot for sure n so it wont b such short notice...

Really John? Because What I've missed two? I really don't see what the big deal is. If it's in Fresno or if it's in Visalia. I dont really care. I drive more then anyone but Edger. 35 miles isn't a big deal to me. I just think it's funny others will drive to a meet in la or the bay, but can't make it to Fresno or Visalia. You've missed a meet here and there.

that wasn't aimed at you personally Jeff. you need to not take such things to heart.

I have missed a meet here or there but i never said i would be @ %100 attendance. Also how many times have i driven to Fresno vs how many times you guys have had to come here? not only can i count that number on one hand, but the number of Fresno people that have showed up in Visalia on one hand too.

we all have things in life more important that hanging around eating burgers, pizza, whatever. but if you look the kind of numbers that meets here generate vs Fresno, i think it's worth it to come here.

It is true. Very Very sad. Crazy that they all will drive to auto-con but not support the valley's little shit.

i'm going to guess a reason why people don't go to fresno meets:

a lot of the people you will be meeting have attitudes. they stay to their cliques. they will NEVER approach you to say hi, shake hands, etc. in fact.. if you look at them funny, he and his friends will probably jump you and/or steal your car later.

other reasons may include:
harassment by PD/CHP
families keep them busy
most of us work weekends
heat
cold

it's the sad truth to some point. But even then, other car shows have happened with no issue. So who knows.

people here don't show up to meets because they don't feel like walking out of their comfort zone. If they do come out to meets and stay in their little circle of friends than because that is still a part of their comfort zone. I'll admit its very hard for me to leave my comfort zone sometimes. You have to walk up to strangers and introduce your self. We should let our love for cars to be our drive to introduce ours selves to new people who loves cars just as much as us.

Ryan Autry may have single-handedly been responsible for keeping our meets alive and going. it would go up to literally every person that showed up and introduce himself/shake hands. he knew the names and faces of nearly everyone there. it made everyone feel very welcome.

i have never and will probably never see that happen again. LOL
