for your budget..only places i can think of is..macco or mastrecraft...

Then you're going to have quality issues.

For that budget, I wouldn't even bother with sanding down your car & primering it. Just let them paint the car over your existing paint. It'll still hold. Source: had 2 cars painted at budget shops such as Mastercraft and Colorglow.

yea i figured it as much too. maybe my insurance can help me out too eh? lol ill figure something out.

my paint job was $500 at macco 3 year warranty.no door jams or truck it will be extra if you want it.incase this helps.its not the best quailty but for 500 im very happy

omg you have the two cars i want most in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. but yea, if i had the money i'd want the top shiznit too, but i understand the paint jobs from maaco isnt AS bad as most ppl say - if it was then they wouldnt still be making money like they do. anyhoot my celica i just bought has a maaco job and truthfully its not that bad. you'd wouldnt even be able to tell from afar anyways. i think i will just go that route because no matter how much i love my car its STILL just a "base" 95 impreza. dont think i'll keep the car that much longer anyways. thanks for the photos, they helped me decide.

well i had to sand down twice cause i thought they warranty primer.so i shot primer for nothing .all i did was hand sanded it to the purple my car used to be.if you have them sand down your car it will be $500 . i didnt get decals just how to take care of the paint and the %10 coupon.

yea but you can shot it as is.but their were things i didn't see until they painted it

You should have done the bodywork first such bondoing away the little dents here and there and glaze it all before really started to sand the whole car down..now you're just making it harder to find the little dents that is naked to the eyes :/

yea, so says all the bodyshop guys too. all my research had been throwing me off, some suggest sanding it down while others suggest dent repair first, i guess nothing beats personal experience, lesson learned - in my defense i WAS going to do everything myself. anyhoo im out of resources now so i'm just gonna take it to this one fellow who worked on my last car. affordable price and his quality is not bad. as soon as the last of my parts come in i'm taking this badguy in to get done.

BTW!!! did you guys know that the majority of bodyshops/collision centers wont even do full body paint anymore???? i literally checked out 35 different shops in town and only 2 were willing to work with me. the rest says that they dont dofull body because its too much work and only deal with individuals with insurance backing. they say insurance companies are their main source of revenue since auto body is so expensive that nobody can pay for their own, they quoted on average $4000+ for my car..... really???

I've never had a shop tell me they don't paint entire cars. also, $4000 is pretty reasonable for a decent paint job.

$4000 isnt reasonable to me unless it was a custom paint with effects and such.

I'm just saying it's an average price.

Body work is not hard to do, it just takes patience..also, even after sanding, you can always find the lows and highs if you have the right etching primer..Just sprays it on the area of the dents then cross sand it to find the areas of lows..
If you want a very clean paint job that is oem, it'll roughly cost you around $3000-$4000...I recommended doing it yourself so you have the experience. For beginners at painting, Ill recommend working with white..

finally got the badguy back from the paint shop. and i gotta say that i am very satisfied with the results, considering the price. now all i gotta do is finish up the final touches.

i got mine done at P&S Auto Body for $1500. they did all the bodywork and paint
