hi in new to the import scene. i have a 93 integra ls 4 speed auto da9. can someone explain how the underground scene works?

welcome to fresno imports. what underground scene are you referring to?

like car shows or races? i want to know everything

shows and meets are posted often. keep an eye out.

as for track days and events, there is also a section here for that. mostly everyone here does auto-x and HPDE. everyone is really good at posting up the events well in advance.


keep an eye out by using "view posts since last visit" or by looking in the "meet ups" or "AutoX/Track" sections.

street racing has pretty much phased out unless you go hang out with the domestic guys and their mustangs/camaros.

cops come down on imports way too hard in this town. now, even IF there were something going on, no way would they tell anyone they don't know personally.

auto-x is at the fairgrounds. it's local and completely legal. HPDE is a bit more expensive, but you get a TON of seat time. it's also kinda far away. with gas prices what they are now.......... meh.

ok explain what auto-x is. and when is it? and howare the races set up? coz if its legal i want in.

if you aren't a member it's $45 to run. you register under the correct class (depending on your car and mods). there are people there to help classify your car.

then, you just line up and go. it's a huge parking lot with cones to mark the course. you start at one point, run the course, then finish in the fastest time you can. you get five runs to run your best time.

it's more fun than it sounds. you get to drive the hell out of your car and only worry about running over cones if you mess up. LOL.

Google Auto-X and you will find all the info you need. the fact that some of the events are local are why i go. it's NICE to be able have an event here at home.

no. this is amateur only. supposedly you get an "SCCA event winner" magnet sent to you, but i have never received one after either of my wins.

its nice to have people out there that want to help other drivers...and mynes-3 yea ive lived in prather for like 16yrs now what do u drive and maybe some time we can get together. and that goes 4 eryone. if u want to get to know me more dont hesitate to c me. im really open to meeting fellow drivers i only know one person...james phipps. if anyone know him, drives a honda prelude bbs with thermal exhaust. black. he aint the best at helping me. so its nice that people care

i don't know who that guy is, but most of us are willing to help.

there will always be haters LOL.. and this is the internet, so expect people to act like DBs. but stick around and let us know if you need any help. there are quite a few people here that know what they are talking about.
