we'd drive up, hang out and eat, maybe, then come back. or do a variation of it. that is the full drive, though. hard-cores only. LOL. someone above mentioned Powerhouse. i LOVE that road. definitely not good for those that have no self control, though.

I've driven those routes super fast by myself at night lol. Idiotic? YES! Irresponsible? Very! I don't do it anymore though.

One time I decided to do some exploring and almost ran into 5 doe's (as in deer) doing this route

yeah i still am very doubtful i would go. i know i can control my foot and I can control my car, but i cant control others foot and if they are going to burn up their brakes. you guys are better off keeping something like this private.

i got better things to do then set in my car for another 5 hours on my day off, if that makes me a wuss i'll take that. I know what your saying by driving in the front, but lets face it. It's not like when you, ryan, thad, ben, and chris were going on them, this is going to be a well i hope this guy had good brakes thats riding my ass so if i have to stop for whatever reason he doesnt blow thru me type of deal. if i was going to want to do some spirted driving again, i would want to drive the 1 from sf all the way down again, but not in a jeep this time. small groups and spaced out at least 20 mins for the first few to get a few would be the best imo. a drive that isnt 5 hours and a place to stop and either eat lunch at a restaurant or a picnic area. times have changed from those golden days where fsr had 100 real tight nit guys.

understood. that's the difference: i L O V E spending time in my car. i used to go on mountain runs just to be in it. hell.. sometimes i'll get in it drive to Starbucks and drink my coffee in the car. i love my cars. i can't think of a better way to spend my time off than in my car. LOL.
on our mountain runs we had some scary cars, though. some of them i wouldn't trust to ride in no matter how slow they went. LOL. but.. we usually had no issues. i think we have have had one spin, one "off the road" a bit.. and no cases of cars hitting. IIRC, that is. they went pretty smooth. as for spirited driving in a Jeep? you're crazy. haha.
as for 5hrs, that's a special occasion. the course i posted were all the roads we'd choose from. i think we did the whole thing once.
on a side note, i just took some guy home up in North Fork. i got to drive Powerhouse. that road is awesome. i just wish i had been in my car. i think it's time for another trip. i'm thinking of hitting up Sample, then Powerhouse, then 211 on the way home.

i thought i would be a good idea to take the 1 home and see the views, but i was in a jeep. It wasnt that fun.
