The ac system schreaches whenever i turn it on. My question is when do i know if its the belt or bearings that need to be changed or lubed?

It may just be a little loose. Mine did that when I changed my belts. I was wondering wtf was going on, but i guess my belt was not tight enough even tho i thought it was tight. I tighten the belt and it stoped. Was embaressing to turn the AC on before.

Most likely it's just the belt that needs some tightening up. Try that first.
