use the gas that your manufacturer recommends. Using an inccorect octane isnt going to make your car "faster" | |

all gas nowadays is unleaded. there is no regular. higher octane burns cleaner and leaves less deposits in your engine. if you have a higher compression engine, using premium will keep the engine from knocking (detonation) which makes the ECU pull timing, which makes your car have less power. in THAT sense, premium could "make more power", though it's more an issue of "keeping you from losing power". i run 91 in everything, no matter what i drive, due to the fact that is does burn more clean. it's only about an extra $2-3 per tank. worth having less gunk in my engine, IMO. | |
