Nice sounds like you got lucky, my wife wanted the ipad 2 for christmas, layaway ftw but shit was around 600 after taxes. Its a good machine and she constantly uses it. No problems or complaints so far.

I use to want to get an ipad, but im not spending 600 bones on a tablet. The fire will do just fine. I got it for two reasons. One make her happy. Two so when we go on road trips my boy can watch movies.

i think that would work well! i just want to have all the digital copies of the movies i buy for long trips for my boy. got to keep him happy you know.

I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY DAUGHTER AND IT LASTED HER FOR ABOUT A WEEK UNTIL SHE DROPPED IT AND SHATTERED THE SCREEN. SO I GOT HER A IPAD2. AND IT'S LASTED HER.....
